Festival Disciplines

The Cowichan Music Festival celebrates the talents and dedication of performers across four disciplines: Dance, Piano, Instruments and Vocal.

Each discipline provides participants with the opportunity to perform before experienced adjudicators, receive valuable feedback, develop their skills and share their passion for the performing arts in a supportive festival environment. Whether participating for personal growth, recognition, or the opportunity to advance to the Performing Arts BC Provincial Festival, the Cowichan Music Festival welcomes performers of all ages and levels to celebrate their artistic achievements.

Our disciplines include a wide range of performance areas:

  • Dance – Featuring a variety of dance styles and performance opportunities.
  • Piano – Welcoming pianists from beginner levels through advanced performance levels.
  • Instruments – Includes Strings and Bands, providing opportunities for instrumentalists to showcase their musical abilities.
  • Vocal – Includes Choirs, Musical Theatre and Classical Voice, celebrating a variety of vocal performance styles.
